1950s A Happy Moment - We are in the island of Imbros and continue with the story of Koulurgioti Family. As we’ve shared the grand grandfather Nicholas on previous post, now it’s time to meet with his son Stephanos, Golfo the wife of Stephanos and their descendant Eleni. Stephanos migrated to Imbros from Samothraki and in Imbros he married with Golfo who was the most beautiful girl in village as told by many people. Stephanos was a big-hearted, helpful man and because of that people in Imbros called him ‘Diamandara’ which means perfect as diamond. His nickname was very well-known and many people called his family members as ‘the son of Diamandara’, ‘the wife of Diamandara’...etc. Stephanos and Golfo had five children:Nicholas, Zaharo, Strato, Dimitri and Anna. Here in this post you see Stephanos dancing, his wife Golfo looks him and smiles, and their grandson Eleni smiles too. It’s a real, natural happy moment... ========================== 1950ler Mutlu bir an Imbros’tayız ve Koulurgioti ailesinin hikayesiyle devam ediyoruz. Bir önceki gönderide büyük büyükdede Nicholas ile tanışmıştınız ve şimdi oğlu Stephanos, oğlunun eşi Golfo ve torunları Eleni ile tanışıyorsunuz. Stephanos Imbros’a Samothraki’den gelmişti ve burada köyün en güzel kızı olduğu tanıyanlarca hala belirtilen Golfo ile evlenmişti. Stephanos çok iyi kalpli ve yardımsever bir adam olduğu için köyde kendisine ‘pırlanta gibi adam anlamında ‘Diamandara’ lakabı takılmıştı. Bu lakap adada o kadar çok yayılmıştı ki, aile üyeleri Diamandara’nın oğlu, Diamandara’nın karısı...diye bahsediliyordu.
